Who we are

Street Space is a young and exciting engagement and collaborative design social enterprise. We work with people to reimagine their streets and spaces to make them feel safer, bring joy and social connection.

We are hyper aware of the importance of taking time to hear the nuanced narratives that live and exist unseen in spaces and places. Through all our work we strive to create opportunities for authentic participation, enabling local people to play an active role in the creation of spaces where they feel they belong.

We explore pioneering participatory approaches that focus on engaging with hard to reach groups and people of different ages, genders, sexualities, ethnicities and backgrounds.

Our story began in Barking, East London in 2018 where we quickly grew to form a small, dynamic team with projects across London. In 2020 we began exploring opportunities in the North and in 2022 moved to our new home in Bradford, the UK City of Culture 2025, with Associates in London and Bristol.

We are a registered Company in England & Wales: 11334265 and Community Interest Company: 11885332
