The Heart of the Borough

We worked with school children, local businesses and residents to understand the potential for ideas to reduce the dominance of traffic and create healthy streets for people at Martin’s Corner in Barking and Dagenham.

We ran a series of pop ups, school workshops and community conversations to develop initial concept designs for the junction to create a low traffic - low speed environment with increased space for pedestrians, people on bikes and greening.
